The 49th Newcastle Scout Group were founded in 1924 and have been associated with the Robert Stewart Memorial Church since then - which is why we wear Stewart Hunting Tartan as our neckerchief colour.
We are an active group for boys and girls with 3 sections :
Beavers for 6 to 8 year olds,
Cubs for 8 to 10.5 year olds
Scouts for 10.5 to 14 year olds
with over 110 boys and girls involved.
We run a vast range of activities ranging from archery to zorbing as well as getting young people out camping, hiking etc - all while teaching our members #skillsforlife
All of our leaders are volunteers who do this because we must be mad!
If you would like to talk to us about your child joining or you becoming a volunteer then email us at [email protected]
